Our story goes all the way back to 1856. Many years on and 6 generations later, De Halve Maan is still a vibrant brewery true to its origin of authentic beers.
Our brewery
In 1856 Henri Maes kicks off his brewing activities in the city centre of Bruges. Every generation passes their brewing experience onto the next in the family. Today, six generations have made their mark on what is now the taste of Bruges.
Aside from tradition and respect, we keep on innovating. Sustainability is key, so that future generations can keep on enjoying our delicious beers.
